THE LIFE AND MINISTRY OF CHESTERTOWN BAPTIST CHURCH
We count it a joy to serve the Lord with the talents He has blessed us with! At Chestertown Baptist Church, we take seriously the challenge of our mission, “To know Christ, and to make Him known.” The church has been compared to a body in Scripture, and a body has life. Without life, a body is dead. Not only will you find a pulse at CBC and in the ministries we offer, but you will find ”the Life” in the Word that is preached. We believe that the church is to equip the home and the community with the necessary tools and teachings to help reach the lost for Christ, and to help Christians mature into the image of Jesus Christ. The church accomplishes that goal through the various ministries supported by the people.
It is important for a Christian to attach himself to a local church, but also to engage in serving Christ through different avenues of ministry. The greatest way for you to grow as a Christian is to serve the Lord and allow Him to use you. Be available. We trust that you will take the time to look into the many ministry opportunities the church has, and we pray that you will seek the Lord in serving Him by way of a ministry offered at CBC.
