We've Come So Far

October 20, 2016

How have we come so far from God, and from the Christian principles that founded this great nation?  I have written in the past of the secularizing of America.  It wasn’t until the 20th Century that we saw such a huge conflict with the Christian philosophy our country was founded upon.

Secularism crept into our colleges and universities, then newspapers, then radio, and finally television.  Secular humanists established the film industry to influence the mind through entertainment.  It is no accident that, since 1946, the three major TV networks, NBC, CBS and ABC, have been almost totally owned and operated by secular humanists.

Secularists, for the most part, control our law schools and have slowly changed the nation’s view on the Constitution, law, morality, the First Amendment, and respect for God and man.  For the past 50 years, the U.S. Supreme Court has been dominated by secularist thinkers, several of whom have been atheists.  President Ronald Reagan, however, did appoint several conservative judges during his term.  The trend since then has been away from God, not toward God.  With a majority these past years holding a secular view, the ACLU has had a field day.  Prayer has been taken out of our schools, the Bible no longer is read in our schools, abortion has been legalized, same sex marriage has been sanctioned and our basic moral values have plunged.

We are a Christian nation, founded for and by God-fearing, Bible-believing people.  We, the salt of this land, should never let it be taken from us!  We should speak and let our voice be heard or we will continue to plunge.
