We live a blessed life. However, even with all our many blessings we all go through periods of trial. That’s just life.
A pastor once chose his sermon text on the verse portion, “And it came to pass.” His points were two-fold, “it came” and “it passed”. Trials come, but, thank God, they pass. It often appears that we have reached the end of our resources. It is as if we can bear no more. I often see load limit road signs on bridges, simply to inform the driver of the amount of weight the bridge can bear. God knows our load limit. He knows how much we can bear and He’ll never let us go beyond that limit.
To the person who is bearing a heavy load, Christ is the answer. If you will allow Him to come into your life he can and will bear that heavy weight for you. And, to the Christian who is close to their load limit, take it to God in prayer. He is the only one that is strong enough to bear it and He is the only one that can offer peace. As the song writer said, “There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God”.
God never intended for us to handle the burdens of life alone. He wants to be a friend that sticks closer than a brother. The bible tells us to cast all our care on Him because He cares for us. God cares for us! And, He’s willing and wanting to help us.
May God bless you and help you bear up under that heavy load you are carrying, and may you realize “It came, but thank God, it will pass.”
