Someone has said, “Messages prepared in the mind, touch minds, and messages prepared in life, change lives.”
Throughout the New Testament the main emphasis of Christianity is life-changing power. Our most important message as Christians is not the testimony of our lips, or the messages in our pulpits. It is the messages preached by our lives.
A missionary went to a remote village and told the people of Christ. After describing Jesus to the folks in the village, one old man said, “I know him, he used to live here.” You see, this person had known a man who was so much like Jesus that he had mistaken him for Jesus. What that man had was a powerful life’s message!
What is your life’s message? When the communists caught Watchman Nee, the famous Chinese preacher, they cut out his tongue to stop him from preaching and to terrorize the other Christians. However, they did not stop his message. His life preached more loudly than his tongue.
As Christians, we should strive to have a life’s message that reflects Christ. How do we do that, you may ask?
By reading God’s Word every day, by praying and faithfully attending a church were God’s Word is preached. Remember, a message prepared in life, changes lives.
