What to expect
Visiting a new church can be intimidating, especially if you’re uncertain about what to expect. First, we’re so glad that you’ve decided to check out Chestertown Baptist Church. Whether you’re uncertain about who Christ is, unsure about your own commitment to Him, or already a follower of Jesus, we invite you to be part of our family.
Below you’ll find some helpful information so that your visit with us can be enjoyable and free of stress.
What to wear
When considering dress, CBC is a blend of casual and traditional. Whether you prefer dressing down or dressing up, everyone is welcome.You’ll see people dressed in a variety of different styles of clothes. We encourage you to come as you are. We want you to feel comfortable worshipping with us.
What is the Sunday service worship structure?
A typical Sunday morning service begins at 11am and runs a little over an hour. The service consists of worship, preaching, and prayer.
Where do my kids go?
If you have nursery-aged children and wish for them to attend our Nursery, you can first head downstairs to our Nursery. Once downstairs, you will be able to sign in your nursery-aged child, get a pager (in case we need you during the service), then you can head back upstairs to the sanctuary.
Nursing moms, you are also welcome to use our private nursing area located in the Nursery.
If you have school aged children, they will first start off in the main service (with all the adults) for the first few minutes. Then all children are dismissed from the sanctuary to attend our children's church. Note: If you plan for your child to be dismissed and attend Children’s Church, please check them in at our children's check-in station located in the main fellowship hall.
If you get lost, or can’t find the check in station, one of our greeters would be glad to point you in the right direction.Both nursery and childcare are available on Sundays. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions using the contact card below. We want you to enjoy your visit.
